Vol 14 Scan Old Pictures to a Flash Drive

It is like taking pictures with your camera and downloading
them to your computer.

Load your original photo-side down on the top left side of the printer glass of the Senior Center Printer.

Flash Drive:

Insert the Flash Drive in the front of the Printer (Lower left side).

Touch Scan

And then select

Memory Device

Touch Document Type to select the type of document
you want to save.

Make change to scan option to JPEG Color.

For Black and White select JPEG Grayscale.

Touch Start Scan.

Scan one picture at a time.

The jpeg files will be saved in a folder labeled HPSCANS

Continue Scanning until you are finished.

Remove the Flash drive and place it in your Laptop.

When you open the Flash Drive and click on the first jpeg file,
you will be asked if you want to import the pictures.

(Same as Camera download)

Name the folder you want the pictures in.

When you are sure you have the pictures on your computer, you can
delete the HPSCANS folder from the Flash Drive.

You could copy the HPSCANS folder to a blank CD as an alternative

to adding them to your computer.

Now you can Crop and Edit these pictures in Photo Gallery.
